My submission to the 2016 "Monster Mayhem" studio exhibit presented by DHX Media in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. My love for coastal painting and the playful theme for this exhibit are combined in this turner-esque oceanic storm scene. I have a love for all things maritime especially stories of the Krakken, white squalls and other superstitious sailor tales from the days of early exploration. SOLD

Borrowing from my Winter Cardinals piece from 2014, I want to re-connect with the beauty of the cold Canadian winter scene and the recent concern with the decline in our deer population due to harsh weather conditions.
