Daniel Cormier

I am a Canadian traditional oil painter working on canvas, board or masonite. I prefer painting plein-air landscape and portraiture on large surfaces. My passion is to allow the paint to mix itself on canvas, revealing hidden vibrancy while staying dark and rich. My influences include impressionism, post-impressionism, expressionism, and post-modernism. I am inspired by artists like Peter Doig, Tatossian, Renoir, Manet, and Winslow Homer.
