The Wired Monk is the latest of my 2013 summer commission pieces, painted on request by a friend of mine to be given as a gift. The Wired Monk is a popular hang out and meeting place in the heart of the downtown Halifax. Painted strictly with the knife, I applied thick oils in layers to give texture and depth to each surface.
